World War in the Heavens

A good way to educate oneself on the stars is to study astrology and history side by side. Are important historical events also reflected in the stars? 

Consider for a moment 1914 and World War I. What was happening in the sky at that time? 

On June 28th, 1914 the Arch Duke Ferdinand was assassinated. This was the catalytic event that launched the world into the Great War. Some said it was the war to end all wars, or so they hoped. It has since been renamed World War I, as an acknowledgement that rather, it was only the beginning. That day Pluto, the planet of death, was in Orion's sword-bearing arm flanked by the sun and Saturn.

War was officially declared one month later on July 28, 1914, at the same time Saturn reached the tip end of Orion's sword. Saturn is the planet of rules and restrictions, which are conversely embodied by governments. And war is waged by governments; paid for in the blood of it's citizens. In the sky, Saturn formed a weapon with the planet of death in Orion's arm.

The United States judiciously avoided the conflict until May 7th 1915 when a German U-boat torpedoed and sank the RMS Lusitania, a passenger ship carrying women and children. Public outrage drove American husbands, brothers, fathers and sons to enlist in the war.

Notice that in the war propaganda, artists invoked references to and images of the sword of justice.

Normally planets continue their progression into the West as time passes, but both Saturn and Pluto went into retrograde, or traveled backwards, a few months after war was declared. On the day the Lusitania sank, Pluto and Saturn found themselves again in exactly the same position as the day war was first declared. Pluto, the planet of death was in Orion's arm and Saturn was at the tip end of the sword. Were US war propaganda artists intentionally referencing the heavenly alignment? Or was the artwork a physical manifestation of energy written in the stars?

It is estimated that World War I claimed twenty million military and civilian lives and one third of those deaths were the result of disease and war related famine.

An armistice was finally declared on November 11th 1918, meaning both Germany and the Allies agreed to a temporary cessation of hostilities. The official end of the war wasn't until June 28, 1919 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed; exactly five years to the day after the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand. However, public memory marks the end of the war as the day when fighting ended on 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

On November 11th both Venus and the sun were in the scales of Libra, the age-old symbol of divine balance and harmony. Venus is the ruling planet of Libra. When a ruling planet comes home it magnifies the meaning and energy of that planet. Additionally, the sun gave even greater power to the homecoming. Love was astrologically in the balance. Venus in the right hand of Libra, which as the scales are balanced, is the rightness what was happening in the world: Peace. The Sun added even greater power to Venus' love and compassion. Venus is the exact opposite of war. Here you have war at it's end, reflected in the stars.

Skeptics might find the alignment of stars during major historical events coincidental, serendipitous, or even wishful thinking. But suppose you understood in advance what planets and constellations mean and could look at pivotal dates in history. Do you think you might see a pattern? 

Thankfully we don't have to be master astronomers or have advanced telescopes.  Modern apps allow us to look and learn from the stars not only in this lifetime, but over the course of thousands of  years.

Revelation: The First Seal Opened

Where a lot of religions get lost in misunderstanding the Book of Revelations is overlooking how prophecy relates to the signs God has already set in the sky.

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; Genesis 1:14

The first purpose of the lights in the firmament, according to Genesis, is for signs. The constellation structures are fixed but our vantage point from Earth to observe them changes with each age. Planets moving through our solar system appear as stars. These, in addition to the sun and moon, provide the variety in the night sky that could align in such a way to meet the requirements of specific prophetic signs. With our modern understanding of astronomy much of the guesswork for tracking the position planets has been removed. We can predict with precision the position of many of these heavenly bodies decades in advance.  If those things change there will surely be commotion.  But that's another blogpost entirely.

Let's turn now to Revelation where the apocalyptic seals begin to open. 

Revelations 6:1-2 
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals,
and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder,
one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
And I saw, and behold a white horse:
and he that sat on him had a bow;
and a crown was given unto him:
and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Students of Astrology clearly recognize this rider with the bow as the constellation Sagittarius; the archer who is on a horse. Although some describe it as a Centaur, the half man, half horse. Its also known as Corona Borealis which means Northern Crown.

We know that the opening of the first seal in Revelations involves the constellation Sagittarius. But in order to correctly set a time stamp this sign we must have other prophetic elements also in alignment.

December 27, 2019 Jupiter, the ruling planet of the Archer Sagittarius, returned home to the head of its constellation. Ushering in Jupiter's return home was the Sun itself, adding a significant amount of conjunctive energy to this already powerful homecoming. The Sun overlapped Jupiter in the sky, symbolically clothed in light and power as it came home. 

Four days later on December 31st, the Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury realigned into a three point crown at the head of the archer Sagittarius as prophesied in Revelation 6:2.

On December 31, 2019 China first announced to the world the pandemic that was overtaking their country. Mercury brings with it expression and announcement, which is exactly what we saw when China announced the presence of this virus to the world.

The opening of the first sign in Revelations where a crown, corona(virus), it would conquer everyone, which is exactly what we've seen. People submit themselves to quarantine, hide in their homes, and are conquered worldwide. This is an exact match for the first sign of destruction mentioned in the end days prophecy Book of Revelation.
